Vocab Express and Oxford University Press support the drive on languages

Partnership makes available new MFL learning resources

Online modern foreign language vocabulary learning application Vocab Express has announced the introduction of new resources for secondary education languages in partnership with Oxford University Press. These resources assist the development of foreign language education in the UK – an initiative that both companies support.

Vocab Express is designed specifically with one aim in mind; to make another language easier to master and exciting to learn. As such, it provides an innovative, interactive method of learning, revision and testing to engage and inspire young people in modern foreign languages which can be perceived as a difficult option.

Vocabulary from Oxford University Press will become available in the distinctive Vocab Express format for Key Stage 3 to 5 in French, German and Spanish. Vocab Express is designed to further the impact of resources provided by Oxford University Press, extending learning at school or at home in an accessible and exciting way.

The new resources from Oxford University Press that will become available on Vocab Express are:

  • At Key Stage 3: Zoom español, Zoom Deutsch, and Clic!
  • At GCSE: AQA and OCR French, German and Spanish
  • At AS/A2: AQA and OCR Élan, Zeitgeist and Ánimo

Justin Sycamore, managing director of Vocab Express comments: “At the heart of Vocab Express is a commitment to continuing to innovate and support the teaching and learning process for foreign languages. Working with such an established and respected name in the publishing industry as Oxford University Press truly demonstrates this. Opening the door to a new interactive learning experience that engages and supports young people, we hope together to inspire a love of languages in a new generation.”

Kate Harris, managing director, Education and Children’s Division at Oxford University Press comments: “We are delighted to be teaming up with Vocab Express to provide schools with this fast and effective tool for building vocab. We are dedicated to providing resources that help motivate and raise attainment in classrooms, and this format will further support schools in teaching with our broad range of modern foreign language resources.”
