Vocab Express National Championship 2012 Enrolment Opens

Registration for the National Language Championship has now been opened by Vocab Express as it searches for the UK’s best young linguists. With more than 150 schools already registered to take part, the week-long championship is free to enter and is open to all secondary schools in the UK and Ireland. It takes place from 29th February to 6th March 2012.

Schools and students can compete against their peers and demonstrate their knowledge of languages including French, German, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin, Latin, Arabic and Urdu. Students participate online, testing their vocabulary and scoring points for their own and their school’s position on real-time leaderboards. A tiered system of awards will celebrate the achievements of small, medium and large schools and cash prizes will be awarded to winning students.

The teacher’s pack for the National Language Championship - including a full guide, student posters, award charts and sample certificates - is now available to download for schools that have enrolled.
