Vocab Express, the online modern foreign language vocabulary learning application, has expanded its Heinemann Key Stage 3 resources from educational publisher Pearson in recognition of the renewed drive on languages throughout the education sector.
The education spotlight is firmly back on modern foreign languages, with ongoing debate between Government, practitioners and sector experts as to how best to educate and motivate young people in learning another language. To support this drive, Vocab Express is keen to help make the first steps - the vocabulary - easy to access, to understand and to learn.
Following the innovative Vocab Express format, the vocabulary from the Heinemann Key Stage 3 French, German and Spanish series is now available online, ready for easy teaching and learning. The nature of Vocab Express reinforces and advances learning done with text books in lessons, building on the lively resources from Pearson to extend learning in an accessible and inclusive format, at the student’s own pace.
Titles are available from the following Heinemann Key Stage 3 series: Echo, Echo Express, Expo, Listos, Mira, and Mira Express.
Justin Sycamore, managing director at Vocab Express comments: “We are dedicated to offering students an engaging and inspiring way to tap into an all important foreign language. By integrating text, images and audio, Vocab Express reinforces and advances classroom learning; inspiring language learning and allowing each child to fulfil their potential at their individual pace. We are excited that by expanding our partnership with Pearson, we can open the door to a fully-rounded, interactive and supportive learning experience, whether at school or at home.”
Madeleine Shillito, head of the MFL team at Pearson adds: “We are delighted to be working with Vocab Express to make the most of the innovative technological developments seen throughout the education sector that have the potential to revolutionise the learning experience. By offering a combination of our carefully structured and lively resources with the engaging, accessible online platform that Vocab Express offers, we are confident that together we can offer young people today the best start and support to learning another language.”
