The Vocab Express championships appealed to a competitive side for languages we didn't know [students] had! Everyone was talking about it, which helped increase awareness of languages across the school and gave a real sense of community spirit. We will without doubt be competing next year and would definitely recommend it to other schools.

Create a languages buzz around your school in the build up to exams

The Vocab Express Global Challenge 2015 will run from Wednesday 4th March until Tuesday 10th March 2015 and is an exciting way to engage students in vocabulary building by challenging them to compete against other Vocab Express schools across the UK and from around the world.

  • pitch your students against other schools’ to compete for top position
  • numerous school and student certificates to play for
  • real-time leaderboards to track the action as it happens
  • engage students in vocabulary learning in the build up to exams
  • raise the profile of the Languages Department within your school

The challenge will feature French, Spanish, German, Italian, Mandarin, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Urdu, Arabic, Hebrew and Latin competitions.

The challenge is free and exclusive to all schools subscribing to Vocab Express. To enrol, please ask your Vocab Express school administrator to log in and navigate to the Admin page where they will find an option to enrol for the challenge under the Summary tab.

However, if your school does not currently subscribe to Vocab Express, but you are considering a subscription for this or next academic year and would like to trial Vocab Express for a few classes during March and participate in the challenge at the same time, please register for Guest Access by clicking below where you will then be able to request the student trial.
